I don't offer crisis support, but if you are worried about your safety, or that of someone else, you can call 999, or NHS 24 on 111 for support with mental health distress.
You can look for other help from helplines covering many topics, including general mental health, anxiety, bereavement, abuse and addiction.
Therapy sessions are scheduled for 60 minutes and cost £60. Payment is due at the time of your appointment.
If you would like a longer session, a 90-minute session would cost £85.
I have a few sessions set aside for concessionary rates based on your ability to pay if you are not earning much. Please speak to me about this.
If you are committed to longer term work, you may choose to pre-book five sessions for £250, paid in advance, a saving of £10 every session.
Focused relaxation sessions are 30 minutes. I recommend three sessions and I would make a personalised recording for you on the third session. The three sessions combined would cost £90. I can do these as a standalone treatment or integrated into other sessions.
I accept cash or online bank payments:

I can be fairly flexible with times of therapy sessions so you can fit them round your other commitments. Typically though, you can book appointments starting at 10.00am through to 4.00pm.
In exceptional cases, the earliest I would is 8.00am and the latest would be 8.00pm. I may also be able to offer weekend appointments between 10.00am and 1.00pm if weekday appointments would be difficult for you to arrange.
This varies from person to person. While some people start off with weekly sessions, most come every couple of weeks at most, at least to begin with.
How many times you need to come over time depends on how much support you need and if the sessions feel right for you. It is not unusual for people to have two or three sessions fairly close together and then spread them out or take a break.
On the other hand, some people benefit from ongoing, monthly sessions to help them maintain and improve their wellbeing.
You could say that a goal of my therapy is to get you to the point where you no longer need to come for support. This often happens organically over time. We would speak about your progress and decide together that it could be a good time to stop or pause your sessions.
If you just decide that you would like to stop for whatever reason, just let me know. It's absolutely OK to decide it's not for you or want to have a break. I won't expect you to justify your decision or give me a reason. It's also better to cancel any appointment you may have rather than just not turn up.
Further down the line, you may decide you would like to come for more sessions. That's great - just drop me a message and we can see about making an appointment.
I work in a large, bright room at home. My post code is G5 0RJ. I mostly do face-to-face sessions for counselling, sound therapy and relaxation, though I can do counselling online using Teams.
There is typically free parking outside. Several buses run nearby, stopping at the Citizens Theatre. Other buses stop at Bridge Street underground.
Otherwise, I am about a 20-minute walk from the city centre, just over the river from Glasgow Green.
The pin on the Google map is not quite over the street but if you zoom in a bit, you will see St Ninian Terrace.
